PSEG KEYS ENERGY CENTER: CONSTRUCTION STATUS UPDATE (as of May 1, 2017)
The project remains on budget and schedule with a Guaranteed Substantial Completion Date of May 1, 2018 and a target of April 1, 2018. The Steam Turbine Generator remains the primary critical path with STG Electrical the second path. Load testing of the Turbine Building Overhead Crane is scheduled to complete next week to allow removal of the Steam Turbine upper casing. Construction and Framing of the STG Electrical Room is in progress. CTS continues liners and insulation in HRSG #12, and seal and casing weld-out and downcomer installation in both HRSGs. Atlas has grouted the #11 and #12 Stack bottom rings, which is required for continued vertical section installation. Pipe rack module connections continue for piping and mechanical. Installation of the #11 and #12 CTG compartment enclosure panels continues. Work on the ACC continues with installation of the street #4 riser, street #3 steam and condensate weld-out, street #2 A-frame installation, and street #1 structural steel & motor bridges. Kimball continues the power building siding and interior framing for the control room and administrative areas. The PEPCO Switchyard is complete with punch list items remaining. Total Site manpower is 817.
