PSEG & SNC-Lavalin Partner With Heart Of America For Brandywine Elementary Outdoor Classroom Project
PSEG Keys Energy Center and SNC-Lavalin have partnered with Heart of America for the Brandywine elementary outdoor classroom project. The renovation project will completely transform the elementary schools courtyard area, turning it into a state of the art space for students and teachers to utilize. The Courtyard/Outdoor Classroom will host areas for reading, planting, instructional sessions for science and art classes, and spaces for students to collaborate, contemplate, and explore.
PSEG Keys Energy Center and SNC-Lavalin have agreed to donate materials including trees, concrete, mulch, timber etc, as well as, donating manpower to the renovation project.
Volunteer tasks in this space will include the demo of existing concrete, painting, landscaping finishing touches, and reading science and nature-related books to students.
Your support will truly make a difference in the lives of the students, teachers, and greater community. Below please find an overview of each of the volunteer days and activities. If you have additional questions, please contact Summer Claypoole of Heart of America at sclaypoole@heartofamerica.org.
