PSEG KEYS ENERGY CENTER: CONSTRUCTION STATUS UPDATE (as of March 1, 2017)
The critical path construction remains through the heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) and the Steam Turbine. Construction of the #11 and #12 HRSGs continues with installation interior insulation and liner plates and high pressure internal piping downcomers. All 24 pre-fabricated pipe rack modules have been set on the structural steel supports. Installation of the Low Pressure Steam Turbine Section Outer Casing is in progress. Erection of the Admin/Control Room/ Turbine Building structural is nearing completion, and installation of siding and roof panels has begun. Piping and electrical for the CT/CTG11 & 12 support modules (lube oil, compressor and electrical) continues. Erection of the ACC continues with 30 of 36 cells erected to the fan level and steam tubes installed on 18 cells. The setting of other major equipment such as Power Distribution Centers, Boiler Feed Pumps and drain tanks continues. Installation of the new PEPCO substation and the plant switchyard remain on schedule.
