PSEG KEYS ENERGY CENTER: CONSTRUCTION STATUS UPDATE (as of December 1, 2016)
The site is constantly changing as construction is well underway and “going vertical”. The critical path is through completion of the air-cooled condenser (ACC) and heat recovery steam generators (HRSG). Erection of the ACC continues with 12 of 36 cells erected to the fan level. Six of ten tube bundle modules have been set on both the #11 and #12 HRSGs. All major foundations have been poured and the Steam Turbine-Generator (STG) Tabletop has been completed. CT/CTG11 and CT/CTG12 were set on their foundations. Installation of the new PEPCO substation and the plant switchyard remain on schedule. The Service/Fire water and Demin water tanks have been erected. Overall site backfill is being completed up to grade elevation in the power plant area.
