PSEG Keys Energy Center LLC: Construction Status Update (As Of September 1, 2016)

Work at the plant site continues with the critical path activities being the installation of power block underground electrical and piping in advance of foundation work. The footer foundations for the Demin and Fire Water Tanks have been poured. Construction of the new PEPCO Cheltenham Substation is well underway with foundations complete and steel support towers being installed. Both Combustion Turbines and Generators have been delivered to the site. All Heat Recovery Steam Generator bundles are now all at Aqualand Marina. The transport schedule has the #11 bundles all on site by Sept 22, and #12 bundles on site by Oct 26.

Otis Eastern is progressing on schedule with the gas pipeline installation, however the final 100 feet of pipe and the installation of the pig launcher is on hold until Charles County issues the permit amendment for the M&R site on Woodville Road. The pipe has passed a full hydro-test from the plant site to the M&R station boundary. Pipeline environmental restoration is 95% complete.

The off-site water/sewer system installation continues on Tower Road by Ferreira Construction Company. Following repaving, the county approved the re-opening of Old Indian Head Road on Monday Aug 22. Tower Road work continues with a full road closure, with bus traffic being accommodated, and will complete by mid-September. Work on Brandywine for water line relocation and tie- in of the gravity sewer main will commence starting Sept 6.
