PSEG Keys Energy Center LLC: Construction Status Update (As Of August 1, 2016)

Work at the plant site continues with the installation of underground piping and electrical within the main plant excavation. Construction of the new PEPCO Cheltenham Substation on the site also commenced with the installation of the auger-cast piles for structural steel support.

The temporary site warehouse fabric structure has been erected and receipt of materials is underway. The heavy-haul loads for the #11 Combustion Turbine & Generator and the #11 Heat Recovery Steam Generator bundles commenced overnight on August 1. The loads traversed up Highway 301 from the off-loading point in Morgantown, and then turned onto Brandywine Road to North Keys Road.

Ferreira Construction Company aggressively continues work on the off-site water and sewer piping on Old Indian Head Road through August 6, with work commencing on Tower Road on August 8.

The gas pipeline construction continues and is near 80 percent complete.
